Macduff distillery was built by a group of business men (Brodie Hepburn, Marty Dykes and George Crawford) in 1962 with stills increasing from 2 to 3 in 1966 and 3 to 4 in 1968. The Macduff distillery was acquired by William Lawson in 1972 and is a major component of William Lawson blends.
