Bottling a Cask

Quartercasks.com has full bottling facilities and will provide you with the following:

Bottling: We can bottle your cask at either 46%abv or Cask strength. Neither of the above processes need chill filtration and are therefore preferred by quartercasks.com. Bottling at any strength under 46% requires a further process called chill filtration and we believe that this removes much of the taste of the spirit hence the reason we don’t do it.

Bottle Type: The bottle sizes we use are 700ml. or 750ml standard tall round bottles. Most Single Malts are bottled in this bottle type or very similar. 750ml is used predominantly in the United States and South Africa, 700ml for the rest of the world.

Seal: A cork mouth or screw cap (ROPP) seal will be provided. If cork mouth the presentation will also have a gold non-pilfer seal. This ensures that you receive your product un-tampered and is added security during shipment

Label: You have the choice of a front label and back label, front will contain all the necessary regulation details such as volume strength etc and your own label design or a standard label design from our range. The back label will contain information on the whisky, cask type and any personal information you wish to have.
If you require the finished presentation within gift packaging then further labels will be required.

Gift Carton: There is no gift carton or gift tube supplied, however, a plain black or dark grey tube can be supplied with your label attached at an additional cost.

Outer case: The bottles are packed in strong cardboard outer cases containing 6 bottles.
